Shocking! How to Curl Your Hair With Foil And A Flat Iron
I’m always wanting for tactics to repair my hair with out having to spend a lot time on it, so my interest was piqued after i noticed a YouTube video about methods to curl your hair with solely foil and a flat iron. Consider me intrigued and naturally, I wanted to try this method out myself. It does make me surprise, nonetheless, who comes up with a few of the “how to” videos I see online. It’s like, “Hmm, I’m bored and have foil and my flat iron. Let’s see what I can do.” Ah, however I regress…
As we speak was the right day to try it out, as I left the home with wet hair this morning to drop my son off at college. I came residence and was ready to curl my hair (you realize, so it looked presentable), however decided to tear some foil, heat my flat iron, and try this new means out instead.
I’ll admit that I used to be fairly the skeptic while placing loops of my hair in the foil. I’m not exactly sure what I assumed would occur, but having lots of curls was not one in all them. (And that i imply Plenty of curls, as you’ll see in the video.) For a quick second, I used to be introduced again in time to sixth grade and the tight perm that I had then. Let’s simply say that numerous tight curls isn’t the perfect search for me. Ha!
In all seriousness though, I believe you’ll be amazed… I know I used to be. This fashion of curling hair really does work and it’s quite simple to do. (Really, you can’t mess it up.) All of the steps are listed under, or be happy to watch the video I made while I curled my hair with aluminum foil and a flat iron:
Tips on how to Curl your Hair with Foil and a Flat Iron:
Step 1: Seize a piece of hair and wrap it round your fingers in a loop.
Step 2: Wrap up the loop of hair within the foil.
Step 3: After getting foiled your entire head, use your flat iron to scrunch the foil 2-three occasions. (Watch out – The foil will probably be scorching!)
Step 4: After you could have heated all the foils, begin taking them out one after the other.
What I learned:
1. Be careful with heating the foils by your neck. I do ombre short weave know, I do know, this seems like a no-brainer, but I was in a hurry and forgot. Let me just say that super Hot doesn’t even start to describe the foil touching my neck. Ouch. Consider your self warned.
2. If you happen to don’t like plenty of curls, make loops with larger sections of your hair. Next time I do ombre short weave this, I’ll do a looser loop with more hair. I believe it will likely be much less fluffy (read: 1980’s), more of a relaxed wave, and undoubtedly extra my type doing it this manner. I even have a variety of hair, so greater loops will certainly suit me better sooner or later. (Once more, perms went away for a purpose, y’all.)
3. It does not matter which direction you loop your strands of hair or the way you fold the foil. I used to be not constant in wrapping the loop or folding the foil and nonetheless obtained nice results.
4. You don’t have to maintain the foils in long at all, nor do you have to heat them with the flat iron for an extended time period. I did 2-three scrunches with the flat iron to each foiled piece and that was sufficient.
All in all, this was a fun experiment to try! I wasn’t positive it might work, and was pleasantly stunned that it received the job achieved. I will certainly attempt doing this again in the future, however will make sure to use bigger strands of hair and looser loops in the foil, as I’m not digging the super curled look that I’ve occurring right now. I do suppose that reaching for the curling iron is quite a bit simpler and less time-consuming for me, but, once more, this was undoubtedly one thing enjoyable to attempt!
